Ms. Kristen-Crayon Can

Hi! I'm in my seventh year of teaching elementary art and I'm *still* trying to figure it all out. Here you'll find my observations about teaching art, unit ideas and results, and any other life-bits that might coincide with teaching 500+ little kiddos.

About Me

My photo
Ms. Kristen-Crayon
After graduating from New York University with a BFA in Studio Art, I didn't know what I wanted to do. So I took a job as an executive assistant to the CFO of an NYC-based real estate company. While I was working in accounting, I needed to figure out what I was truly meant to do. Figured this: TEACH! I want to teach! Teach art! Went back to school, graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with an MAT in Art Ed and here I am, a young professional getting my feet wet in the world of teaching elementary art. I love writing and reflecting on my experiences in the classroom and my life as it extends outside the classroom... so I reflect on both here, as both areas bleed into each other and comprise this crazy life.
