1. Three years of hard work, about to come to a close. But a door opens, and a new chapter begins...

5. I love when there is the perfect combo of paint and pressure so that you can see the creases in their tiny hands when they print. This was for a retirement banner for one the kindergarten teachers. Each handprint, one for each student in their class, was turned into a flower.

Week Twenty

May 13th - May 19th, 2013

1. Kate Spade tissue paper. Always spot-on with their design choices.

2. Blue hearts come in all kinds of ways (from my sketchbook).

3. Downloaded the A Beautiful Mess app. Obsessed.

4. Hyun came to town!!! Went shopping for bridesmaid dresses and had great success! Jonesie gave her lots of lovin' for the short time she was here.

5. NBPTS Take One! hell.

6. While Birkis aren't really my style anymore, who can resist such bright, cherry shoes?!

Week Nineteen

May 6th - May 12th, 2013

1. Anyone else have these sheets in the '80s? Seen at my parents' house.

2. My second graders made coil pots, and one chose to embellish hers with the cutest face :)

3. Ms. Dudley doodles.

4. Running.

5. - 6. A car selfie to show off my Prada knock-offs (ashamed on so many levels), and me and my sis-in-law at her baby shower! Can't wait to meet my nephews.

Week Eighteen

April 29th - May 5th, 2013

1. Second grade example of the difference between developing skills and exceptional skills.

2. My fifth grade boys were killin' it. Awesome start to their practice self-portraits.

6. Preparing an NYU tee for College Week.

Week Seventeen

April 22nd - April 28th, 2013

Oh yes. It is that time. Time for the annual ART SHOW. Getting 850 pieces of art on the wall and getting families to come see the spectacle... takes some organization, some iced coffee, and some answered prayers.

1. Making art show invitations with all classes. One kinder class suggested that I draw my brother on my demo invitation. Sorry, Bro. This is the best I could do within a kinder attention span.

2. Jonesie helps in his own way. Someone has to lounge in the paper scraps, no?

3. Art show prep with my art club kiddos. A. was providing some comic relief by marching around the room with my cut-out face over her own. We were all dying.

4. Little A. was allowed to come hang with her older bro for the last art club meeting of the year. She was so pumped to get to make art with the older kids.

5. Bouquet purchased by my beau, to get me through my crazy week.

6. Art show night, Friday, April 26th, 2013. With my favorite triplets. Took lots of pics, but didn't Instagram.

7. I may or may not have purchased a bottle of wine on the way home. Spent the night at my parents' house because I thought I might be too exhausted for the hour-long drive home. Mom wanted a taste, poured into a juice glass. Love her.

8. Larger than life in my childhood bedroom.

9. My childhood backyard is a magical place. Or... the world is a magical place when a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

10. Came home to my boys.
